The Aura
Some of you may be familiar with the aura, but for those of you that are not I have tried to explain a little about what they are, and how they help us.
The aura can best be described as a spiritual signature it is our luminous energy body and surrounds every one of us. It is a blueprint of our soul, and contains all sorts of information about us. Everything that we say, think or do is recorded in our energy body. It is a mirror image of our physical bodies. Not only does the aura contain information about us now in this lifetime, but it will also contain information regarding our previous lifetimes. The human aura is constantly moving it is never static. It constantly interacts with what’s in and around its environment. It contains many colours and as our moods change so do our colours. Our Chakra's play a big part in the aura system also. As each chakra has its own colour it will emit that colour and that will also show up in the aura around the area where that certain Chakra resides. As our auras contain so much information about us they can also show up any illness's. Signs of illness can show up in our auras a long time before they actually manifest into our physical bodies. That is why keeping a healthy lifestyle is very important.
WHAT DOES AN AURA CONSIST OF?
The aura consists of seven levels/layers/auric bodies. Each one exists around our physical bodies. They all have their own unique frequency and interrelated, and affect one another as well as our feelings, emotions, thinking, behaviour, and also our health.
The Etheric Layer or first layer of the Aura is associated with physical aspects and awareness of the material body and is related to the First (Root) Chakra. As it is nearest to our human body it is the densest. This first layer is an energy matrix and the form is shaped to the physical matter of our material bodies. It bridges the connection of our material body to the higher bodies. The condition of this layer closely reflects the actual condition`s of our physical body. It extends only about two inches beyond the physical body. This layer relates to our health, survival, security, comfort and pleasure.
This is the one that you see when you first start seeing your aura. You will see it as a faint greyish-white colour outlining the physical body. But with practise you will see that it varies in colour from a bluish grey haze to sparks of blue or grey light.
The Emotional Body or second layer is associated with the vibrational level of inner feelings and related to the Second (Sacral Plexus) Chakra, the emotional aspects of our lives and being. This feeling layers' structure is more fluid that the Etheric and does not duplicate our physical body. It can be seen between one to three inches beyond our body. It looks like soft coloured clouds of fine substance in constant fluid motion, which expresses the full spectrum of our emotions. These clouds change colour as our emotions change, so they describe our passing moods. All the rainbow colours are here, and this layer is where we see our chakras best. It is here that we can see emotional blockages and pain which is shown as dark spots.
The Mental Layer or Third Layer of the Aura is associated with the vibrational level of thoughts and mental processes of the ego and related to the Third (Solar Plexus) Chakra as well as our personal power. It is a finer substance than our emotional body and can be seen as a bright yellow light radiating around our head and shoulders and extends all around our body. It extends from around three inches to eight inches from our physical body. It contains the structure of our ideas reflecting our linear thinking processes and our thought forms can also be seen in this layer. The stronger and more ingrained these thought form are, the greater is their definition within our mental body. The colours of our thoughts here will show the nature of our emotions that are attached to them.
The Astral Layer is the Fourth Layer of the Aura and is associated with areas of expression on a physical, emotional and mental level and is related to the Fourth (Heart) Chakra. This one is a bridge between the lower vibrations of the physical plane and the higher vibrations of the spiritual planes. It also connects the lower three layers with the higher three. All energy passes through here when going from one world to another. It`s our little doorway to the astral plane. All healing comes through here as it is the layer of love. The Astral body is made up of clouds of colour. This colourful layer extends between one to one and a half feet beyond our physical body. This body connects us with higher dimensions of reality.
The Etheric Template or Fifth Layer of the Aura is associated with aspects of the physical body and related to the Fifth (Throat) Chakra. This layer holds the blueprint template of all that exists on the physical plane. The level in this layer is where sound creates matter. This one is more structured and extends between one and a half feet to about two feet beyond the physical body. This layer creates an empty space that forms our beliefs and the uniqueness of our inner identities. It provides us with the grid structure upon which our physical body grows.
The Celestial Layer or Sixth Layer of the Aura is associated with processes of enlightenment and is related to the Sixth (Brow or Third Eye) Chakra. It is composed almost exclusively of light and is also known as the intuitive level. This layer gives us access to higher qualities of feelings, thoughts and manifestations. It is the level through which we can experience spiritual ecstasy, and where unconditional love flows. This one extends between two feet to about two and three quarters feet beyond the physical body. This Layer is harder to see, as its colours appear as a beautiful shimmering light, composed mostly of pastel colours, this light has a gold-silver shine and opalescent quality.
The Ketheric Template or Seventh Level of the Aura is associated with the Divine or Universal Consciousness and is related to the Seventh (Crown) Chakra. It contains our life plan or "soul contract" and reflects all experiences and events that our souls have ever experienced and contains all the auric bodies associated with the present incarnation that we are undergoing. This layer extends between two and a half feet to about three feet beyond the physical body. It is made up of tiny golden and silver threads of light which pulsate and hold the whole form of our aura together. It contains a golden grid structure of our physical body and all the chakras. This seventh layer of our aura is where we become one with the universe, this layer is one that we cannot experience from a limited viewpoint of our ego, it is the strongest layer of our aura
How to see your own aura
The key to reading auras is to use your vision in a different way. Think of an optical illusion book, where you look past the flat, two-dimensional image to find a three dimensional picture. To achieve this, the eye must be in a relaxed state. Relaxation is a vital factor in all aspects of an aura reading.
Sit or stand in front of a mirror and try to have a neutral colour behind you, and lighting that is subdued and ambient but not dim. Not only will this encourage relaxation, but it will also allow your eyes to work in a different way. Whilst looking at yourself in the mirror, begin to sway gently from side to side. At the same time, try and look through your reflection to the wall behind, rather like the techniques used to see ‘living eye’ pictures. This allows your optical muscles to loosen, and encourages a trance-like state where your subconscious is more alert and receptive. After a time, you should notice a shimmer surrounding the outline of your head. Initially it may be difficult to discern colours, but this will come with time and practice.
The Meaning of Colours.
Our aura is constantly interactive all the time with our environment. Our moods and emotions can change at any time throughout the day so there for the colours change within our auras that reflect that particular mood or emotion or mental state.
It takes a great deal of practice to interpret the colour shades seen within the aura. Each colour has its general characteristic and each shade of that colour change that characteristic a little. The location of the colour and the intensity of the colour have to be considered. Colour can be constructive or destructive. They can stimulate us or depress us repel or attract us. They can reflect positive or negative, and when perceived within the aura it provides a key to our personality, our moods, maturity and health. I am hopeful that I have given you a starting point to begin to understand what can be revealed by the colours.
